Claireâ€™s interest in Physiotherapy sparked when she experienced the benefits of Physio Treatment first hand as a young athlete. Claire was a competitive cross country skier, and soccer player, and competed at a national level in biathlon. She developed a strong interest in sports medicine and health, which motivated her to pursue a career as a Physiotherapist in Oakville. Claire completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary and later went on to work as a Kinesiologist in a Physiotherapy Clinic. Claire graduated from Queenâ€™s University with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy, where she was awarded the Queenâ€™s PT Clinic Award in Ambulatory Care upon graduation.
Claire enjoys treating a variety of conditions including those with Scoliosis, Bellâ€™s Palsy and Post Mastectomy patients, and has a strong interest in treating orthopaedic and sports injuries. She utilizes a range of manual therapy techniques and individualized exercise prescription to promote and engage active participation. Claire believes that education is a very powerful tool and can be the necessary ingredient to engage patients in their own health and the achievement of their goals. She is excited to work in Palermoâ€™s Oakville Physiotherapy and Wellness Clinic providing Physio to those in Oakville, Burlington and Milton.
In her spare time, Claire enjoys playing soccer, ultimate frisbee, running and exploring the outdoors.
