Jessica Baldwin is a life coach for singers, an indie-soul singer-songwriter, and a popular musics voice specialist. Her journey as an artist led to the creation of her business, True Colors Voice and Artist Coaching, which provides trauma-informed life, creativity, and voice coaching to singer-artists to help them courageously come out of hiding, get clearer about their artist identity and vibrantly be the artists they want to be. In episode 172, Jessica shares some creative coaching exercises she may use with her clients.
Jessica Baldwin
After exploring multiple genres in her younger years and earning her master’s in classical performance and pedagogy, Jess Baldwin gradually found her sound in soul, jazz, and chamber pop, and was able to release her artistic voice through healing and acceptance work around her CPTSD and neurodivergence. This culminated in the release of her crowdfunded debut album ANIMA.
Her journey as an artist ran alongside her expansion from a voice and piano teacher into a creativity and productivity coach with trauma and neurodivergence training. Her coaching path was inspired not only by her own journey, but the many singers and voice teachers she’s met over 15 summers at the CCM Institute who needed tools to help them find and use their own artistic voices. Her business became True Colors Creativity Coaching, which provides creativity, voice, and executive function coaching to singers and creatives who want to finish projects that let them shine brighter.
