Claire Corbett – Physiotherapist MSc (PT) and Hons B Kin
Claire’s interest in Physiotherapy sparked when she experienced the benefits of Physio Treatment first hand as a young athlete. Claire was a competitive cross country skier, and soccer player, and competed at a national level in biathlon. She developed a strong interest in sports medicine and health, which motivated her to pursue a career as a Physiotherapist in Oakville, Ontario. Claire completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary and later went on to work as a Kinesiologist in a Physiotherapy Clinic. Claire graduated from Queen’s University with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy, where she was awarded the Queen’s PT Clinic Award in Ambulatory Care upon graduation.
Claire enjoys treating a variety of conditions including those with Scoliosis, Bell’s Palsy and Post Mastectomy patients, and has a strong interest in treating orthopaedic and sports injuries. She utilizes a range of manual therapy techniques and individualized exercise prescription to promote and engage active participation. Claire believes that education is a very powerful tool and can be the necessary ingredient to engage patients in their own health and the achievement of their goals. She is excited to work in Palermo Oakville Physiotherapy and Wellness Clinic providing Physio to those in Oakville, Burlington and Milton.
In her spare time, Claire enjoys playing soccer, ultimate frisbee, running and exploring the outdoors.
